Who We Are


Department of Management Studies was setup under the Faculty of Industrial Technology in University of Vocational Technology. The Dean of this faculty is Ms Malkanthi Tenabadu who has showed exceptional ability to establish cooperative, professional relationships with parents, staff and administration. Also, the academic staff of Department of Management Studies is very enthusiastic and works cooperatively with each and every student to help to achieve their best at academic status. The Department aims to produce graduates with appropriate managerial skills, knowledge and experience, who are competent to support and augment the economic development of the country by generating and imparting scientific knowledge with the aid of novel modes of deliver. The goal of B.Tec in Industrial Management Degree Programme is to prepare its graduates to succeed in this complex and competitive global world for future challenges through a technological perspective, personal development and life long learning. A graduate of Industrial Management should be a competent individual who is knowledgeable, including an understanding of broad conceptual and theoretical elements and international perspectives in the field of industrial and management studies. A management graduate should have the capacity of critical, conceptual and reflective thinking and inquiring inclusive of an ability to evaluate and apply underlying assumptions and theories, problem identification and solving along with strategic decision-making.

 Batch 2017/18 They are the first full time student group enrolled in Department of Management Studies under the Faculty of Training Technology for the 2017 academic year, comprising 39 Advance level students and 1 NVQ student. Students who have to specified in technological area within 4 semesters out of 3 years under the Department of Education and Training are also included. Taking maximum advantage of the opportunity opened up by the University of Vocational Technology in 2017, these undergraduates are highlighting excellence in both academic and extracurricular activities. Many achievements in academic and extracurricular activities have been won since the first place was won by the students in the “The Debater” competition organized by the students in the academic year 2016/17.
